One of the best aspects of working at Caliber Design is the variety of work. The first half of the week I worked 1-on-1 with a client to design a fire suppression system for a hydropower station generator unit, and the latter half of the week I continued structural design for a 30 tonne hopper to be located in one of NZ's main port facilities. Along with extensive hand calculations derived from first principles, two different industry standard CAD packages were used; Autodesk Design & Manufacturing Inventor and SOLIDWORKS.

If you enjoy swimming in the deep end, then there is no better place to push yourself daily!

Design Engineer

Thanks for a great four years Caliber Design. It's been an excellent opportunity for me to grow as an engineer, manager and salesperson; and giving me the confidence to embark on an MBA knowing that is the skillset I want to build on for the future. Caliber is a great company to work with; clever engineers, working on some of the most interesting and tricky projects in the country, and with a solid support network behind them. Would be pleased to work with Caliber again in the future.

I enjoy starting with a concept of what the customer wants and taking it to the end, a viable and manufacturable product. This involves seeing through the whole lifecycle of the product.

Analysis Lead

I'm enjoying the sustainability work that I've been doing. Many people think that as an individual you can't do anythiing but you can - you've just got to pick where you can have your best influence. We're on our way to influencing a big group of engineers and that's come from a simple idea. It's a nice feeling.
