If you clearly understand your customers needs, then you have the information you need to differentiate your product in the market and ensure its success.  You can learn more about your customer by:

  • running ‘voice of the customer’ surveys
  • developing key customer personas
  • doing a ‘day in their life’ study
  • simple good old fashioned observation: Get out of your chair!! Go and visit your customers and watch their frustrations. Get in and do it yourself. Learn the ‘real world’ short falls of current products out in the market—including yours!
