Imagineer: a person who devises and implements a new or highly imaginative concept or technology. This is what I pride my engineering career on, aiding clients to visualise their ideas and working closely with them through excellent communication skills to develop, manufacture, and deliver successful products.

With a Masters in Engineering Studies in Mechanical Engineering my strengths lie in research and development, innovation, 3D Modelling and project management, coupled with the motivation and determination to achieve high level solutions I have successfully completed projects with Galloway International, Nulon, Walt Disney Imagineering, and Steel & Tube.

Now on board with Caliber Design gaining further experience, developing greater skill, and continuing my contribution to the design industry.

Project Experience

Formway LIFE Chair

DISNEY WORLD

“It’s a small world” passenger vessel

Collaborated with Walt Disney Imagineering to develop the Small World passenger vessel, to be manufactured in polyethylene as an alternative to Fibre Glass, increasing strength, lifetime performance, and exceeding specific load case requirements through FEA, leading to production in New Zealand.

“Pirates of the Caribbean” passenger vessel

Redesign of passenger vessel, resolving issues with existing mould defects and improving manufacture.

HOT RECYCLED OIL CONTAINER (ROC)

Conceptualised and developed the hot liquid ROC in special grade PE, used for biofuel manufacture, including preliminary testing and evaluation of rapid prototyped products in situ. Once manufactured, products were put through testing and quality assurance protocols.

Fern Cutter

Redesigned traditional Sea Scouts clinker to be produced as a single piece Polyethylene hull, replacing the traditional wooden and fibreglass boats for Sea Scouts worldwide.

Conceptualisation to product development of flat pack PE housing for easy transport and assembly in disaster relief zones and temporary housing situations.

AQUATANK

31000L Water Tank & Oven

Project management of the AQ31000L product and machinery, the largest tank in the Aquatanks range. Developing the new Two-axis rotational moulding over to accommodate the larger tank, taken from tender to commissioning.
