    HOW WE DELIVERED

This project involved early-stage design and procurement support for Mint Innovation’s new e-waste recycling facility in Longview, Texas. The client had ambitious goals for sustainability, throughput, and cost efficiency, and needed confidence that the selected capital equipment would perform as intended and represent sound long-term investment.

Caliber assisted in the development of detailed technical procurement packages for several major plant systems, ensuring that each item of equipment was fit for purpose, compliant with process requirements, and commercially competitive.

Working closely with process engineers, EC&I specialists, and the client’s procurement team, our engineer translated complex process design data into clear, actionable engineering deliverables. These included equipment specifications, datasheets, and requests for quotation (RFQs), all produced to a tight schedule within a total project budget exceeding USD 20 million.

Global vendor engagement was a key part of the role. Caliber identified suitable suppliers, issued and clarified RFQs, managed technical queries, and coordinated bid compliance reviews across multiple time zones to ensure that the most competitive and technically robust options were presented for evaluation.

Feasibility studies were undertaken to inform procurement decisions, including comparative assessments of pump technologies. These studies considered capital cost, lifecycle performance, and process efficiency, providing the client with evidence-based recommendations that supported long-term operational savings.

As procurement advanced, Caliber supported the engineering and design phase through RFQ issuance, technical bid evaluations, and award recommendations. Timely delivery of technical documentation and coordination with process and design teams kept the wider plant programme on track.

By the end of the engagement, Mint Innovation had the confidence to proceed with vendor selections that were cost-effective, technically sound, and aligned with the facility’s strategic objectives. Caliber helped bridge the gap between process intent and real-world implementation, de-risking procurement and supporting smarter capital investment decisions.
