Stackflo work on high value design contracts that simply cannot fail. The Caliber Design team are crucial to our business, providing great easy to work with talent at short notice. In a difficult recruitment market, Cailber have “nailed” the selection and vetting of great talent.
We recently had Caliber support us in the new jet development team. We needed extra resource to support our delivery program in order to meet our strategy goals. As I have found working with Caliber in a previous role, their 'in company' model works exceptionally well. Having one of the Caliber guys in the office like they are one of the Hamilton Jet team is invaluable. They are able to pick up our systems and integrate into our project management process quickly. Getting support and answers to questions in both directions happens without delay. They can also easily attend design reviews, daily meetings etc. As our priorities change, we can be agile and shift work around easily, overcoming bottle necks. On top of all this, they are genuinely a good bunch of guys, which makes them a great partner to our business.
I really valued Ivan's ability to work autonomously during his time at Rocket Lab. He'd only pull me in on things at the right time, so he was a high-leverage addition to our team. Beyond Ivan, Caliber has consistently delivered engineers capable of getting up to speed and adding value quickly.

Stabicraft Marine have multiple projects underway at any one time and we urgently required specialist industrial design resource to ensure the project was thoroughly explored through experienced design thinking. Caliber provided the engineering skills we needed, when we needed them. Their engineers were able to hit the ground running, which eased the load on our core staff and enabled us to meet our project deadlines.
We really enjoy working with the Caliber team. Their 'nothing is a problem', flexible attitude is a reflection of their staff and organisation. The ability to bring in some firepower at peak loading times into our office just makes real efficient sense for us. The Caliber team came up to speed quickly on our design tools and processes to help us deliver.
Caliber's role was an essential component of this overall conveying project. Having a Caliber engineer there meant that we could get the project completed on time. Caliber's experience and adaptability meant that we could leave their engineer with a high level of autonomy throughout the design and project management of this equipment.
For a complex new product development we needed support with detailed mechanical component design, product integration, and production-ready documentation. Based on a position brief, Caliber provided the right person fitting in well with the team. Over the last year we saw a product specification moving into a detailed production-ready design, the establishment of a supply chain for components, and the testing of prototypes resulting in a manufacturing start in time on spec on budget.
Along the journey all required documentation (i.e. BOM, Specifications, Manuals,...) was done in a concise way and shared with the team as expected. We appreciated the "no surprise" communication sorting out issues and roadblocks as they arise. The seconded engineer integrated into our systems with ease, applied our processes as required and in cooperation with the team added new steps when bottlenecks or shortfalls were detected.
Thanks for a great four years Caliber Design. It’s been an excellent opportunity for me to grow as an engineer, manager and salesperson; and giving me the confidence to embark on an MBA knowing that is the skillset I want to build on for the future.

We needed three fixed term contractors at short notice. Caliber weren’t able to fulfill the immediate requirement with their local team, however they were extremely responsive in the way they tried to find other solutions for us and ended up flying one of their engineers from Auckland each week to fill the gap.
