PERSONAL STATEMENT
I’m a Mechanical Design Engineer with a passion for driving innovation in sustainable engineering across industries like mining, electric vehicles, and industrial equipment. My experience includes designing battery electric mining vehicles and battery-powered systems that outperform diesel, as well as developing vibrating equipment to improve processing efficiency in the industrial and mining sectors.
What drives me is the challenge of solving complex engineering problems and creating solutions that make a real impact. I bring skills in CAD design, modelling, simulation, and data analysis, along with strong project management and problem-solving abilities. Outside of work, I recharge by spending time outdoors, playing golf, and chasing the next adrenaline-filled adventure.
Project Experience
INDUSTRIAL SECTOR
Pressurised Tanker Design
Designed a full stainless-steel pressurised tanker for the industrial sector that could withstand a 4 bar internal pressure. Work included first-principle calculations, CAD design, structural FEA and professional engineering sign-off, ensuring all applicable ISO standards were met during design, manufacturing and testing.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT
EV Conversion
Designed a full turnkey conversion of an internal combustion mini-bus to a battery-electric vehicle. As lead design engineer, tasks included feasibility studies, design of electric sub-systems, and overseeing manufacturing and implementation.
MINING
Underground Drill Rig Conversion
Converted a low-profile underground drill rig from internal combustion to battery-electric. Responsibilities included feasibility studies, energy requirement analysis, CAD design and simulation verification, as well as supporting manufacture and commissioning for testing and retail purposes.
