Design and simulation are my main interests, particularly when function and form are present hand-in-hand. I have a great interest in the world of mathematics and science; constantly seeking to gain more understanding.
In my spare time, I enjoy simulation based computer games and the technical problem solving they require when playing, while also enjoying games with a rich story. During summer I enjoy being outdoors; hiking and camping and am a keen swimmer throughout the year.

Recreational Wing in Ground Effect Vehicle Analysis
This project was my final year project for my Bachelors. The goal was to ascertain whether the lift produced is large enough for a rider sitting on a small sized craft. The project involved studying aerodynamics and gaining more knowledge on Ground Effect before validating experimental results in Computational Fluid Dynamics. Following validation of the previous wind tunnel results; simulations of craft characteristics were completed. This highlighted the aspects which greatly affect the performance at different air velocities and ground height.
Water Treatment Plant Detailing
Design of foul air cover support and flashing mounting between interfaces and walkway design. I was also tasked wtih laying out P&ID component models from the P&ID schematics into general assemblies and resolving any interference issues within the pump houses. Seismic load analysis was also completed on structurally supported piping.
Muscle Oil Extraction vessels using high temperature and pressure CO2. I completed detailed design on the secondary pressure vessel and CO2 storage vessel. I also assisted in detailing all drawings for all three vessels.
During his university internship, Ivan worked for Tru-Test group. His work involved SolidWorks, CircuitWorks for ECAD to MCAD translation and buildin up libraries for translation, making of a test-jig, introduction to Engineering Change Notes (ECNs). He gained experience with the milling machine and lathe to produce jigs used in manufacturing to verify circuit boards and components.
